Why Join Us?
Membership of the Group is a useful way of interacting with others to exchange ideas and information techniques. The main aims of PATMG are to provide a networking group for individuals working in the field of patent or trademark information, and to promote/lobby for the needs of information professionals (e.g. with Patent Offices, British Library, Information Supplier organisations).
PATMG runs useful regular talks covering various aspects of patent and trademark information work, as well as the annual Patent Information Jamboree, held in London. The Searcher Newsletter is issued six times a year to help members stay up to date with developments in the field and upcoming issues relevant to PATMG.To join us, just fill in a copy of the application form . Annual subscription information for the year January 2006 - December 2006 for former IIS or LA members is available from CILIP.
For non-members, the UK subscription to PATMG alone is £25.00.
For subscribers in the Euro Zone, annual membership is €45.00 and may be paid by Eurocheque
The usual method of payment by cheque is still available, but we have now introduced an additional facility to pay membership fees via PayPal. This is a relatively straightforward procedure and should prove more convenient for our overseas members rather than having to raise a cheque in UK currency.
To use PayPal, you must have an account with them first, but if you don't already have one, it's simple to set one up and it can be useful for other online purchases.
To pay PATMG membership fees via PayPal:
1) go to www.paypal.com and logon to your account.
2) click the "Send Money" tab
3) in the "Recipient's e-mail" address box, type patenttmg@yahoo.co.uk
4) in the amount box, type "25"; set the currency drop-down list to "Pounds sterling"
5) (OR amount "45" and set currency to "Euros")
6) in the "Type" box, select "Service" from the drop-down list
7) in the "Subject" box please enter "PATMG 2005 renewal" or "PATMG new member" as appropriate
8) any additional instructions (for example, request for receipt) can be given in the "Note" box.
9) click the "Continue" button
10) verify details and click the "Send Money" button (or "Edit" if details need correction) |
